Tata Chairman to Visit Korea for Truck Launch
ata group chairman Ratan Tata plans to visit Korea for a Sept. 14 event showcasing Tata-Daewoo's new medium and heavy trucks.
A Tata-Daewoo spokesman said Sunday the chairman may possibly make a surprise announcement about the group's plan to enter the Korean passenger car market.
Currently, Tata Motors accounts for 30 percent of Korea's medium and heavy truck market, while import of Tata passenger cars is under review. India's largest automaker is among the world's top five manufactures of commercial vehicles.
