Mack museum planned
A new museum proposed in Central Australia will honour the iconic Mack truck.
The CEO of the National Road Transport Hall of Fame, Liz Martin, says exhibits are coming in from around the country.
She says it's important to recognise the contribution of all those who helped open up and develop the outback.
"Mack trucks built the outback, there's no doubts about that," she says.
"They have a reputation the world over, not just in Australia, as being the hardest and the toughest and the ones that built the roads, and that's why it'll be a drawcard as much as anything else that we've got here."
